books I read this month

What I read in March

The Hidden Girl by Louise Millar (this seemed really familiar to me but I couldn’t find it on my read list, not bad)

Very Cold People by Sarah Manguso (eh)

One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle (cute)

Full by Julie Spiro (ok)

The Appeal by Janice Hallett (sort of like a DIY mystery told via emails/evidence which I wasn’t expecting but enjoyed)

Chorus by Rebecca Kauffman (I felt like one character wasn’t as well developed as the rest)

The Overnight Guest by Heather Gudenkauf (eh)

Comedy Comedy Comedy Drama by Bob Odenkirk (he seems like a very involved dad. I wish there was more about his childhood/brother)

I Was Better Last Night by Harvey Fierstein (not as good as hoped)

The Book of Cold Cases by Simone St James (good but a few flat moments/odd choices)

Bon Appétempt: A Coming of Age Story (with recipes!) by Amelia Morris (strange)

A Novel Obsession by Caitlin Barasch (enjoyable)

The First Husband by Laura Dave (not good)

The Weekend Away by Sarah Alderson (not great literature but fun)

The Swimmers by Julie Otsuka (depressing)

French Braid by Anne Tyler (not her best)
