books I read this month

Everything I Read in June 2026

Her Last Breath by Taylor Adams (easy to figure out but not bad)

This Is Me: A Reckoning by Hayden Panettiere (poor Hayden Planetarium)

London Falling: A Mysterious Death in a Gilded City and a Family’s Search for Truth by Patrick Radden Keefe (very informative!)

Man of My Dreams by Olivia Worley (yuck)

Ungrateful Immigrant Daughter: A Memoir From the Child of a Mail-Order Bride by Katya Suvorova (solid but the end seemed rushed)

The Three Deaths of Willa Stannard: A Thriller
By Kate Robards (blah)

I’ll Tell You in Person by Chloé Caldwell (She was troubled so early on. What was up with her parents? The notes girls sent to her guitar teacher dad? They were so odd and clueless? Detached?

The Dying Light by Ann Cleeves (solid but Venn is a strange, annoying man)

Great Granny Webster by Caroline Blackwood (interesting peek into a very specific type of family and time)

The Valley of Vengeful Ghosts by Kim Fu (good)

Summer’s Never Over by Darby Bozeman (blah)

Heather: A Novel by Caitlin Mullen (Pine Barrens! Twins! Kayaking! Circling the words they didn’t know in the baby book!)

The Nothing Man by Catherine Ryan Howard (blah)

Nerve Damage: A Novel by Annakeara Stinson (good but depressing)

Based on a True Story by Sarah Vaughan (fun)

Monster of a Land: On the Road in Search of Modern America by Lauren Hough (disappointing)

The Briars: A Novel by Sarah Crouch (secretly a romance??)

Arrivals and Departures: A Novel by Amanda Eyre Ward (slow to start then too busy at the end)

The Butler by Clare Mackintosh (cute!)

The Break-In by Katherine Faulkner (fun!)

In Case I Go Missing by R. N. Swann (cute)

The Price of Honey by Liane Moriarty (eh)

A Good Man on a Dark Night by Flynn Berry (ok but weird DC/Monkton, Md errors)
